The world’s oldest hospitality management institute, Ecole
hoteliere de Lausanne, has set up a 67,000 square feet campus in India
to take advantage of the growing demand for skilled professionals in the
Indian hospitality sector.
The state of the art campus of the Switzerland-based firm is located in Lavasa township near Pune.
Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa, set up by a subsidiary of the Lavasa Corporation, offers a four-year programme. While its operations kicked off four years ago, the campus has just been completed.
The Swiss institute will be responsible for the curriculum and transfer of knowledge to the local partner.
Lavasa is expected to become an education hub since Lavasa Corporation has tied up with a couple of players, from India and abroad, in the sector.
